Just to let you know that plans for Féile Brian Ború 2012 are well underway and this year’s festival promises to be bigger and better than ever! In order to fit all the events into this year’s programme, we have added a few more days so Féile Brian Ború 2012 will run from 22nd June – 1st July. We will have some great new events this year and we will also host some of the regular events, such as Animal Magic, the stunning Fireworks display, the Féile Table Quiz, events in the Pop-Up Playhouse, historical walks and tours, and plenty more!

We would like to say a huge thanks to all those who took part in the Killaloe/Ballina St. Patrick's Day parade, and to all those who helped out in any way. We would also like to commend the Killaloe Gardaí for their work in ensuring the safe and successful running of the parade.

The 2012 St. Patrick's Day parade is nearly upon us and it is going to be a big one! The parade will start in Ballina GAA pitch at 2pm (all floats are asked to be there at 1pm) and will finish in the Green, Killaloe. There will be prizes on the day for the best floats and there will also be a prize for the best dressed window on the parade route, so get decorating! The Féile Brian Ború Working Towards 2014 committee are starting to plan the 2012 Féile Brian Ború, which we hope will be even more successful than last year. Féile Brian Ború 2012 will run from 27th June – 1st July. If anyone has an idea for an event they would like to run as part of the festival, please contact us by 27th April 2012 to let us know about it. Féile Brian Ború 2011 starts today, with the following events takinng place: Official opening of the Art Trail in Wood Brothers at 7pm, Poetry & prose reading by Killaloe Writers Group in Ponte Vecchio at 8:30pm & Trad music & set dancing in the Anchor Inn at 9pm. Enjoy!

CHANGE TO PROGRAMME – Just to let you know that the Soccer Tournament in aid of TLC which was due to take place on Saturday 2nd July at 1pm in St. Anne's has been postponed and will now take place at 1pm on Saturday 9th July in Birdhill Soccer Field.

The Féile Brian Ború 2011 programme of events is now available on our website: www.feilebrianboru.com. The printed programmes are also currently being distributed and will be available from the tourist information office and from local shops and pubs. We hope you find something nice inside!

Feile Brian Boru – Killaloe and Ballina

We are launching Féile Brian Ború 2011 this Thursday night, 23rd June at 7:30pm in the Lakeside Hotel, Ballina. All of those who are helping out with this year's festival are welcome to join is for a drink! See you then.

Pre – festival events – The popular Féile Féis will take place on Sunday 26th June all day in the Lakeside Hotel, Ballina. for details of this event contact Mary on 087 9783856. These pre-festival events should get everyone in the spirit for Féile Brian Ború 2011.
